The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) has published a list of Registered Specialists to coincide with the launch of its certification scheme for sustainable aluminium production. ASI indicates, ‘Registered Specialists may be commissioned by a Member (or an Entity) to support the development and/or implementation of the Entity’s systems and processes required by the ASI Standards, or an Audit Team to advise the Lead Auditor and Individual Auditors regarding the planning, execution and/or follow-up activities for an ASI Certification Audit.’
Melanie looks forward to helping both companies and auditors to integrate the ASI requirements into their systems and to develop new procedures: the aim being to bring sustainable aluminium and its products to the market as quickly as possible.
